MAY HIS DEAR SOUL REST IN PEACE
DIED ON ACTIVE SERVICE
The death took place on Wednesday of last week of Corporal Leonard Burman, A.I.F. He died of illness in the Lae Military Hospital.
He had been in the AIF for four years and 8 months and had served at Lae, Milne Bay and other northern areas. He was with the Royal Australian Engineers. He was 26 and leaves a young widow and infant son of 19 months. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. I. Burman of North Carlton.
