NX25139 Corporal Percy A. Butcher, of the 2/103 General Transport Company, was killed on the 23 December 1942 in a motor vehicle accident, where the motorcycle he was riding at the time collided with a military van.

Corporal Butcher was later prenounced deceased at the Greenslopes Military Hospital, Brisbane and was buried at the Brisbane (Lutwyche) Cemetery.
