His parents were Stanley Cecil JOHNSON &  Olivia Florence Wickham ORD who married in Sydney in 1914

He took on his stepfathers surname of BYE - He was Alfred BYE who married Olivia in 1925

He married Barbara Mildred JACKSON in Sydney in 1942
