Son of Mars Gerald and Hilda Alice Cater; husband of Barbara Cater, of Bellevue Hill, New South Wales.
The committee of the Wellington District Ambulance is in receipt of a communication from the Perpetual Trustee Company, intimating that the late Lieut. Rex Bowring Cater, who was killed in action on the 20th February, 1945, in terms of his Will, left a legacy of £50 to the Wellington District Ambulance. The President and Members of the Committee of the Ambulance desire to express their sincere thanks and appreciation for the legacy; also the kind thoughts which prompted the late Lieut. Cater to make the bequest, but at the same time regret very much the circumstances which brought about the fulfilment or same, and they desire to express their deepest and heartfelt sympathy to his parents, sister, brother, his wife and family in their bereavement.
