Pilot Officer Channon 411286 of 75SQN was killed when Kittyhawk A29-43 was shot down over Porebada village, west of Port Moresby in New Guinea

His parents were Herbert John CHANNON & Emily May PALAZZI who married in Sydney in 1914

He was Killed in Action in New Guinea on 24th April, 1942 and is buried in the Port Moresby(Bomana) War Cemetery
