SALUTE THE BRAVE
Eleven days before his 21st birthday, Gunner Bryant Clifford Charrington, former member of 'Truth' staff, died in Brisbane last week, as a result of injuries received in a road accident a month ago. BRYANT would have reached 21 next Monday week Highly popular with his fellow employees, Bryant joined the staff in 1937 as an Elrod hand; soon afterwards he was apprenticed as a linotype mechanic, at which he served for three years before enlisting. A fitting tribute was paid to Bryant, Charrington by two 'Truth' lads who are now serving in the armed forces. 'A true soldier to the end, In God's care.' A tribute to a wonderful pal. . . . From Stan Berriman, A.I.F., and Doug Kantor, R.A.A.F.
