Anzlie Vivian CHICK was born in Launceston, Tasmania on 11th October, 1902

His parents were Arthur John CHICK & Adale MASSEY

He married Nellie Kathleen GRANT in Victoria in 1938 - one known son Anzlie

Son of Arthur and Adale Chick; husband of Nellie Kathleen Chick, of Daylesford, Victoria, Australia.

Viv married in 1938 to Nellie Kathleen Gunsser, previously Grant.

His occupation was School Teacher.  Appointeed Student Teacher in 1919. Appointed Assistant Teacher January 1924. Resigned 2/8/1940.

In 1949 a cricket trophy was awarded- A V Chick Memorial Trophy for the most improved player donated in memory of an Australian who gave his life in Malaya.

Brother Keith Ferdinand Chick served in Australian Army WW2,

Cause of death  Tropical Ulcers.

Survived by his wife Nell and their daughter Anzlee, mother Adale, brother Keith, sisters Neita Scott, Jean Holland and Leila Eagland.

Alphington Prisoner Dead;
A./CPL. A. V. CHICK., elder son of Mrs. A. Chick and the late Mr. A. Chick, Daylesford, previously reported missing - believed prisoner of war, has now died of illness while prisoner of war.  
A./Cpl Chick was educated at Daylesford State and Technical Schools and Ballarat School of Mines. For 12 years he was on the staff of the Brighton Technical School, and was then transferred to Collingwood Technical School. At the time of enlistment he was living at Alphlngton.
