Son of Andrew CHIDDY and Elizabeth Meriam CHIDDY nee RIDEOUT.

HIS DUTY FEARLESSLY AND NOBLY DONE ALWAYS REMEMBERED

Survived by sisters Mrs Clara Channell, Mrs Amy Grant, Mrs Vera Gillard, Mrs Amelia Richards, Mrs Christina Urwin and brother William.

Brandon did not marry.

Thirlmere Soldier Pays Supreme Sacrifice
New was received in Thirlmere on Monday that Private Brandon Chiddy, A.I.F., died on 23rd August, 1943, while a prisioner of war in Thailand. He was a brother of Mrs. Channell, of  Thirlmere, and enlisted early in the war.

He had numerous nephews that served during WW2
