Eric McNaughton CHRISTIE was born in Ingham, Queensland on 5th November, 1914
His parents were William McNaughton CHRISTIE & Etheline Mary BONNING
He married Gertrude Alice SKELLEY in Queensland on 18th March, 1943
He previously served in the 31st Infantry Battalion from 1st October, 1936 until 19th December, 1930 before enlisting with the 2nd/15th Infantry Battalion

His brother Alec McNaughton CHRISTIE (SN 404519) served during WW2 in the RAAF and died in the UK on 3rd January, 1942 (Flying Officer with 455 Squadron)
He had previously served in the 31st Infantry Battalion for three & a half years before joining the RAAF
Another brother Keith McNaughton CHRISTIE served as a Lieutenant in the 26th Infantry Battalion (SN QX34003) & was discharged on 10th July, 1945
