Crash details

Clegg William was KIA on august 13 1942 at Eisden Belgium in the crash of Vickers Wellington Mk IC Z1404 UV-J from N° 460 Sqn Breighton during a raid on Mainz.
The aircraft was shot down by Oblt Autenrieh Hans and his bordfunker Uffz Adam II./NJG 1.He and his fellowcrewmembers were buried at the allied cemetery on the airfield of St-Trond ( St-Truiden in Dutch ) were Oblt Autenrieh was flying from.
