Gaetan Gerard Godfrey COLLARD was born in Melbourne, Victoria on 10th March, 1914

His parents were Gerard COLLARD & Martha (Mattie) QUIN

He had served previously with the 44th Battalion for 6 months and the 13th Field Coy Engineers for 12 months before he enlisted in Perth, WA on 7th October, 1942 and served with the RAAF during WW2

Gaetan died in a Flying Battle over Germany on 16th August, 1944 and is buried in the Berlin War Cemetery
