Military Medal, Sergeant Arthur Janes STEWART 'By his bravery, devotion to duty and utter disregard for personal safety in the operations in the vicinity of PERONNE on 1st and 2nd September, 1918, two gun teams in the front line were kept supplied with ammunition at a most critical time. Men carrying ammunition having become casualties, this N.C.O. went backwards and forwards over open ground through an exceedingly heavy barrage and thus succeeded in keeping both guns in action and setting a splendid example to the men under him.'
