Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of Edgar C. Connolly and Margaret Connolly; husband of Audrey Beryl Connolly, of Claremont, Western Australia.

"IN THE EVERLASTING ARMS EVER LOVED AND REMEMBERED".

Advice was received in Geraldton this morning to the effect that Sergeant Colin Connolly (11th Battalion A.I.F.) eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. E Connolly, of Eleanor Street, was accidentally killed in Rabaul on Sunday last.  The late Sergeant Connolly, who has been serving with the military forces for about four years, was married shortly after enlistment, and is survived by a young widow and a three year old daughter residing in Carelmont.  The deceased soldier was born in Geraldton twenty-nine years ago and was educated at the Geraldton State School, and for some years he was associated with the firm of Locke's Limtied in various parts of the State.  Another son of Mr. and Mrs. Connolly is at present serving with the A.I.F. at Bouganville.
