Son of John Denis and Catherine Corcoran of Chatswood, NSW

 

Sergeant Stanislaus Vincent Corcoran 35123 and Flying Officer Peter Roger Forrest Hughes 412145 were the crew of Wirraway A20-503 of Number 12 Squadron RAAF

The aircraft left Batchelor Strip at 1050hrs on an anti-submarine sortie between Darwin and Cape Forde but didn’t return. Following a 24 hour search, wreckage was sighted crashed near Mount Litchfield Station in the Northern Territory.
