Flying Officer Clifton Cornall 402317 was killed when Wackett Trainer aircraft A3-16 of 3WAGS experienced an engine failure and crashed at Maryborough, QLD

The other crew member was LAC Clive Frederick Wood 432326 who was seriously injured; he was discharged in October 1945 as a Flight Sergeant
