Francis Herbert CRIDLAND was born in Daceyville, NSW on 29th May, 1920
His parents were Leslie Richard CRIDLAND & Florence Ann DAVISON
He married Bonnie Beveridge BRIDGES in Sydney in 1942

His Father Leslie Richard CRIDLAND (SN150) served during WW1 with the 1st Field Company Engineers - returned to Australia in 1916

Flying Officer Francis Herbert Cridland, (Pilot), and Pilot Officer Raymond Baudoin De Pierres, (Navigator), were shot down and killed by anti-aircraft fire while flying near Trangan in the Aru Islands on 19 October 1943. They were hit by flak over the target wounding the pilot during a strike on Taberfane Airstrip in the Aru Islands, crashed when control was lost.
