Add my storyBiography contributed by Faithe Jones
Son of Eliza Jane Crombie, of Stanhope, Victoria.
Percy was the youngest of seven children. Percy moved to Stanhope with his parents when they bought the cafe in Birdwood Avenue and he worked on local dairy farms.
He enlisted in the Army at Barham NSW on June 12 1940 and was attached to the 17th Anti Tank Battery 'C' Troop, which was part of the 2/22nd Battalion.
Today there are still a large number of Percy's relatins living in Stanhope and the local district.
