Squadron Leader Davidson 402321 was the Commanding Officer of 453 Squadron RAAF having previously served with 450 Squadron RAAF in North Africa and 451 Squadron RAAF over Europe

He was killed when his Spitfire crashed near the town of Witchling in Kent, England while on a ferry flight
