Redmond was born in Townsville Queensland and was the son of my great grandmother Kathleen Mary Decourcey as Kathleen was unmarried he was raised by mother two times great grandmother Mabel Maud Decourcey .
Redmond was loved by my family and my grandmother spoke of him with love and fondness as her big brother he was sorely missed when he passed .
