Clarence Oliver (Clarrie) COMBER was born in Narromine, New South Wales on 17th May, 1905 - he stated on his war record he was born in Adelaide - he also served under the name Patrick DEMPSEY

His parents were Fitzherbert Joseph Mackey COMBER & Nora ORGAN

He married Ivy Linda BOREHAM on 12th July, 1933 in Queensland

He was taken Prisoner of War in Singapore on 17th February, 1942 and died of Illness in Borneo on 29th March, 1945  - no known grave
