Flying Officer Dougall 403324 in Kittyhawk ET911 of 3SQN was killed when his aircraft was shot down west of El Alamein - it was only his fifth mission just six days after joining 3SQN
He was in a group of four Kittyhawk aircraft that were attacking a target of 150 enemy vehicles when his aircraft was hit by intense flak - his body was not recovered and he is commemorated on the Alamein Memorial, Egypt
