Son of John Henry and Sarah Ann DOWN nee PETERS, of Tyrendarra East, Victoria, Australia.
HIS DUTY NOBLY DONE
Mrs. S. A. Down, of Tyrendarra, has been officially informed that her son, Pte. R. V. Down, is a prisoner of war. Pte. Down was reported missing after the fall of Java.
Survived by his mother, sister Mrs Dulcie Holmes, brothers William, Leonard and George.
