Word has been received in Bellingen from the Minister for the Army that another Bellingen boy, Pte. Percy Druhan, had been killed in action in the South-west Pacific area.  Pte.  Druhan, who was only 26 years of age, was one of the finest specimens of Australian manhood to enlist from this district. He served in the Middle East before moving to the  northern battle zone. His only brother, Sgt. Roy Druhan, is also with the A.I.F. at an advanced operational station. For some time prior to the war Percy was engaged on duties at  the "Northern Courier" and "Raleigh Sun" office. The flag at Bellingen Shire Chambers was flown at half-mast on Saturday as a mark of respect to this gallant son of the Bellinger.
