Edward Bill Dullard Death

20 September 1942
Bill Dullard was second in command of a patrol in the Ua Ule valley which left Imita Ridge on 20 September with the object of harassing the enemy on Ioribaiwa. South of Ofi Creek .

On the 22 Sep 42 They made contact with the Japanese on a track heading west from Ioribaiwa towards Spotter's Hut, and forced the Japanese back with speraitic firefights

On 24 September during ongoing fighting along the track Bill Dullard was killed and as his body was not recovered , Sadly he was the first of many men from 3rd that would never return to CANBERRA
