"FIELD.- December 29 accidentally killed at Nowra while serving with the Army Supply Corps, Pte. J. R. Field only son of Mrs. N. Field and the late J. Field of 286 Patrick Street, Hurstville, aged 20 years. Interred at War Cemetery Nowra, December 31, 1943." - from the Sydney Morning Herald 06 Jan 1944 (nla.gov.au)
