Douglas Godfrey Vincent FORSTER was born in Southport in Queensland on 19th July, 1919
His parents were Edward Charles FORSTER & Edith Eliza MARSH
He married Phyllis Edna FIELDER in Queensland on 26th April, 1940

His brother (Lieutenant) Clarence Edward Dudley FORSTER (SN QX36711) served in the Army during WW2 (47th Infantry Battalion) and was Killed in Action in New Guinea in 1942

Flying Officer Douglas Godfrey Vincent Forster 426571 and Warrant Officer Thomas Louis Bubke 425271 were killed when Beaufighter A19-131 of Number 5 Operational Training Unit based at Williamtown crashed during a forced landing attempt near Tea Gardens (Port Stephens), New South Wales
