POSTHUMOUS AWARD
Squadron-leader R. G. Foskett.
D.F.C, of Roseville, has been posthumously awarded the O.B.E. for outstanding service during the recent reoccupation of Greece by British forces. Squadron-Leader Foskett, who was in command of a Spitfire squadron, was returning from operations over Athens when his damaged plane was forced down into the sea. His body was recovered by a British aircraft carrier.
His brother, Flying-Officer B. W. Foskett, was killed last February when the Halifax of which he was navigator was shot down over Berlin.
