DEARLY LOVED...EVER REMEMBERED
At about 1333 hours on 13th March, 1945 Beaufighter Aircraft A9-650 took part in a strike against a Japanese village together with five other aircraft. When attacking the target the aircraft blew up, disintergrated, enveloped in flames and crashed in many pieces into the target area. No bodies were seen falling and no one was observed to baile out.
The remains of 4 airmen located that were blown up in a Beauford A9-650 during airstrike in the Milak Area. Portions of the plane were found in various postion about 1 1/2 hours wallk from Milak at a village names Aubeck, on of the Chicanambu Group. Three of the bodies were found withing 150 yards of the plane.
