Son of James Robert and Susan Florence Gannon, of Cairns, Queensland, Australia.
Sub-Inspector J. R. Gannon has received official advice from' the Army Department stating that his son, Flight Sergeant R. D. Gannon, is presumed to be dead. Flight-Sergeant Gannon was lost in October last year in an operational flight in the Middle East.
