(Designation: LL758, Lancaster III)
during an attack on Marshalling Yards in Saarbrucken, Germany. The plane
came down in the Ardennes region of Belgium. A boot belonging to Gerald
was identified.
It appeared to have been only his 2nd mission. First was 26-27/09/1944 - to Karlsruhe, Germany.
