Lockheed Hudson A16-68 crashed at Richmond aerodrome in NSW while undergoing a test flight after servicing at RAAF Number 2 Aircraft Depot with all on board killed.

The crew were FLTLT Shore 411199 (Pilot) and FLGOFF Broderick 409022 (WAG)

All others on board were ground crew: Corporal McIlroy 35228 / LAC Chamberlain 15786 / LAC Gleeson 62705 / LAC Smith 64697 / Corporal Allen 36531 / Aircraftwoman Nancy Margaret Ralph 109913 WAAAF
