Family did not know details of his death
Keith was my Mother's cousin. She talked about his passing and gave a confused account that he was a tail gunner and was killed in action. She obviously new very little about what happened.
A few years ago the book Viking Boys was published. To my great surprise, it had a detailed description of the action in which Keith tragically lost his life. So I finally new the details. Sadly my mother passed away and did not get to read the book. Keith's brother Ian lived in Mackay until recently but I do not think he got to see the book .
