News has been received of the death of Pilot Officer Lewis James HARTLEY, aged 21 years, In an air craft accident at Port Moresby. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Hartley. 4 Hawker-street, Ivanhoe. He was educated at Ivanhoe State school and Northcote high school, and was a keen tennis player and skater. Pilot Officer Hartley was on the staff of the Metropolitan Gas Company when he joined the R.A.A.F. In March, 1941.
