Leading Aircraftman Laurence Alfred Higgins 52700 was struck by a P38 aircraft while working on 78SQN Kittyhawk A29-405 at Tadji airstrip at Aitape, New Guinea - the P38 was carrying out a forced landing when it crashed through the P40 parking lines
