Pilot Officer Allan James Neville Hockley 420197 RAAF and Sergeant Raymond Simpson 1805752 RAF of 214SQN RAF were killed when B17 Flying Fortress SR384 was shot down over Holland (target: Antwerp, Belgium)

Warrant Officer Raoul Trichon Lyall RAAF 421541 survived and became a Prisoner of War.

Son of Walter James and Minnie Blanche HOCKLEY, of Strathfield, New South Wales, Australia.
