Arranged a visit to a newspaper office for his fellow recruits
Sometime between May to August 1941 according to the reminiscences of a confirmed participant of the same initial trainee course ( No 2 ) as Harry, he arranged a site visit to a newspaper office. This visit was arranged for a day when Harry’s fellow course participants were on leave and enabled them to see how a newspaper was printed. Harry had been a journalist in civilian life prior to enlisting in the R.A.A.F and his father was in charge of the printing of the newspaper that particular day.
