George Stewart HOTCHKIS was born in Thirroul, New South Wales on 26th February, 1918

His parents were Daniel Stewart HOTCHKIS & Ada Louisa STONE who married in Sydney in 1915

George married Joan Isabel CARRICK in Sydney in 1941

His brother John Hilton HOTCHKIS (SN NX28610) also served in WW2 (Army) and was discharged in 1944

His uncle James Hilton HOTCHKIS (SN 1564) served in WW1 and returned to Australia in 1919

Biography

"In a casualty list this week Sergt. George Hotchkis, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Hotchkis, of Raymond-rd., Thirroul, is reported as missing in air operations. At the meeting of the Thirroul P. and C. Assn. on Tuesday night a motion of sympathy with the relatives was moved and the hope expressed that more cheering news is soon to hand.
