Leading Aircraftman Frank Simpson Howarth 412332 RAAF and Pilot Officer James Martin J/9859 RCAF were killed when Harvard 2616 of Number 1 Service Flying Training School (1SFTS) RCAF based at Camp Borden crashed at Lake Simcoe in Ontario, Canada

Their bodies were not recovered and they are commemorated on the Ottawa Memorial
