Pilot Officer Ian Walter Hunter 408848 was killed when Mustang FZ191 of 122 Squadron RAF based at RAF Station Bognor Regis in Suffolk crashed into the sea 10 miles south of Bognor while carrying out practice dive bombing - his body was not recovered and he is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial
