Sergeant Jennings 404509 in Kittyhawk AK665 of 3SQN was killed when his aircraft was shot down over Tobruk in an engagement with enemy aircraft - it was his 4th operation with the squadron
Six Kittyhawk fighters had been scrambled from 3SQN and another six from 450SQN to intercept German aircraft attacking Allied positions; Kittyhawk AK665 crashed near 13 Corps HQ in Tobruk
