Son of Henry Lee Knapp and Daisy Amelia of EAst Fremantle, WA

Plane was Wellington LN466 which crashed into a mountain near Issime, Italy while on air operations over Turin and it was almost two years before the crew's remains were recovered as the mountain has very steep slopes is inaccessible except for about 2 months each year

Prior to enlisted he had been apprenticed to Port & Salmon, Printers of Fremantle, WA

Sports played at school were:- football, badminton, tennis, swimming
