18 Jun 1940: Enlisted 2nd AIF WW 2, Trooper, SN VX28196, 5th Infantry Brigade Train, Taken on strength R.R.D. Caulfield on 18/06/1940 and transferred to the 5th Infantry Brigade Training Depot in Colac, Victoria.
1 Jul 1940: Transferred 2nd AIF WW 2, Trooper, 8th Cavalry Regiment, The 8th Division Cavalry Regiment was formed in July 1940 when it was raised around the nucleus of two squadrons from the 7th Cavalry Regiment. Based in Seymour, in Victoria, the regiment trained on Vickers light tanks and machine gun carriers but in February 1941 the unit was redesignated the 9th Cavalry Regiment.
11 Sep 1940: Transferred 2nd AIF WW 2, Trooper, 8th Cavalry Regiment, Transferred from the 5th Infantry Training Depot to the 8th Division Cavalry Regiment in Seymour, Victoria.
