His parents were Thomas Davidson LAFFERTY & Elizabeth Swan McBIRNIE

He married Muriel Joyce FRANCIS in Queensland on 11th April, 1942 in St Pauls Church, Maryborough

Robert McBirnie LAFFERTY was born in Toowoomba, Queensland on 26th June 1918
