Aircraftwoman Wanda Elizabeth May Lawless 90668 from Number 1 WAAAF (Women's Auxiliary Australian Air Force) Training Depot Malvern was struck and killed by a car while crossing St Kilda road near Toorak road in Melbourne
ACW Margaret Hoyles 90080 was also struck by the car and was treated at an Air Force hospital, she was discharged from the WAAAF in October 1945 with the rank of Sergeant from Number 1 Stores Depot
