Leading Aircraftman Leslie Tate Loton 412158 was killed in Cessna Crane 8169 from Number 3 Service Flying Training School RCAF about 10 miles north of Cochrane, Alberta, Canada when the aircraft crashed in a vertical dive during instrument flying practice - also killed was LAC John Lionel Clarke R/106966 RCAF
