Biography

George Byron McLean LUCAS was born on 26th July, 1907 in Lismore NSw according to his war dossier however the birth was registered in 1906 on the NSW BDM Index

His parents were William Lawson LUCAS and Mary McLEAN

George married Marie Ruby NOONAN in 1942

He enlisted with the Royal Australian Air Force on 19th Feb. 1940 - last posting was with the 11 Squadron - Rank Sergeant

He died of Illness on 17th July, 1945 at Concord and is buried in the Sydney War Cemetery which is part of Rookwood Necropolis
