Biography

"...1948 Driver  Alexander Lawrence Carraill, of Tungkillo, SA. Dvr Alexander Carraill enlisted with 9th Light Horse Regiment on 28 August 1915 and embarked from Adelaide aboard HMAT Warilda on 10 February 1916. He died of wounds in France on 8 August 1918, aged 25 years whilst serving with the 14th Field Artillery Brigade. Dvr Alexander Carraill had two brothers Leslie and Stanley who served with the AIF and were killed in action." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
