Officer from Burnie
The only Tasmanian officer missing is Acting Paymaster Sub-Lieutenant Donald W. McCabe, third son of Rev. F. J. and Mrs. McCabe. His father is rector of Burnie. Sub-Lieut. McCabe joined the Royal Australian Navy nearly four years ago and had been overseas on active service on another vessel from the outbreak of the war until some months ago when he spent leave in Burnie. At the expiration of his leave he joined the Sydney.
