Pilot Officer McKillop 413233 of 245 (Northern Rhodesian) Squadron RAF had an engine failure while flying Hawker Typhoon JP593 and baled out over the English Channel 15 miles west of Le Touquet - his body was not recovered and he is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial
