In loving memory of my uncle
John was my uncle. While I obviously never met him, my mother told me many stories about him. I did not however know that he was engaged at the time his plane was shot down. My partner, Kristine, and I visited his grave on 7 June 2025 and saw the photo left by Sarah Cran. We left an Australian flag for him and his fellow crew. I would love to get in contact with Sarah to find out more about John and his relationship with Doreen.

Always remembered
John was engaged to my mother Doreen. He was killed six weeks before they were due to be married in Lincoln, England. Mum never forgot John. I will be travelling to France soon to visit his crash site and his grave.
